Youth Red Cross

The Youth Red Cross(YRC) is a youth focused wing of the International Red cross and Red crescent movement . The main objective of the YRC is to inspire and mobilize and individuals to contribute to their community through various humanitarian initiatives. It aims to develop a sense of empathy social responsibility and leadership among young people. The YRC operates in schools, colleges, University and other youth organisation.Yenepoya Dental College affiliated to the Youth Red Cross of the Indian Red Cross society (Karnataka State branch )on 12th July 2022, registration number IRCS/ YRC / YU / DK / 11023/2022-2023

The activities of the Youth Red Cross(YRC) include disaster preparedness and response, first Aid training, blood donation campaigns, health awareness programs, community service projects , environmental initiative and promoting a culture of peace and non-violence . YRC encourages young volunteers to actively engage in these activities and make a positive impact on society. It also provides opportunities for personal growth, skill development and leadership experience.

YDC unit actively participated and conducted various programmes and recently secured first place in Youth Red Cross internship program 0.1 held at Red Cross Help desk, District wenlock Govt hospital, Mangalore
