Laboratory training in dental technology requires the application of a wide range of knowledge and experience in an integrated manner for the provision of appliances for patients. Dental technology is divided into four main areas, fixed prosthodontics, complete denture technology, removable denture technology and orthodontic technology.
The graduate will be prepared to:
A Skill based degree course
Didactic Lecture, Hands on bench exercises and on real patient models.
Didactic Lecture, Hands on exercises on patient models.

Evaluation of a course shall be done based on continuous internal assessment (CIA) mode . The marks for CIA shall be 40%
Theory Examination: 90 Marks
Minimum 80% attendance is required for attending examination.
Minimum marks for pass per course shall be 40% CIA and SEE added together.
A Candidate to complete the Bachelors Degree in dental technology at the end of 3 rd Academic year requires to have passed in all the core courses (23), Ability Enhancement Courses (6) & Practical/Laboratory Training (20 credits) of 3 Academic year comprising of six semesters with total 120 credits and Electives of minimum 12 Credits from the list of electives by Yenepoya (Deemed to beUniversity).
