The Department represents a distinguished division of dentistry, devoting its expertise to the diagnosis and surgical treatment of an extensive array of afflictions, injuries, and deformities affecting the head, neck, face, jaws, and oral tissues. As a pinnacle tertiary care center, the department extends its services to a diverse assortment of patients hailing from various social and economic backgrounds. Beyond the customary referrals received from local practitioners, our sphere of influence encompasses patients traveling from distant cities and neighboring states, seeking our unparalleled care through the conduit of referrals and targeted screening and treatment camps conducted within rural regions.

Infrastructure
The total floor area of about 7150sq.ft with fully equipped dental chair units. A fully equipped Minor Operation theatre with a dedicated post-operative recovery section. The additional infrastructure and equipment include:
Simulation models for hands-on training of students in local anaesthesia and exodontia before they start treating patients in the department.
Postgraduate students undergo training in surgical techniques at ASSEND (Advanced Surgical Skill Enhancement Division) through fresh cadaver dissections.
State-of-the-art surgical instruments and equipment include laser, piezo and cryosurgery units, and oscillating saw.

The postgraduate clinical curriculum Includes exceptional proficiency across a broad spectrum of surgical procedures, including dental extractions, dental implant placement, minor surgical procedures like apicectomy, alveoloplasty, biopsy, frenectomy, corrective jaw surgeries, the detailed reconstruction of cleft lip and palate, restoration of facial form and function secondary to trauma, prevention and management of oral cancer, and the treatment of TMJ Disorders.
