Department of Oral Pathology &Microbiology, has a robust alumni of more than 3000 undergraduates, 70 post-graduates and research scholars having many accolades and achievements to its credit. It strives to provide state-of-the-art oral diagnostics and molecular pathology while excelling in research activities. The Department contributes its expertise in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and providing exemplary education and scientific accomplishments. The Department of Oral Pathology & Microbiology comprises highly qualified staff with vast experience in modern diagnostic oral pathology teaching & practice. Apart from teaching oral pathology, the faculty members supervise several student research projects. The Department of oral pathology conducts continuing education to further update with modern diagnostic technologies.

The Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology has a total built-up area of more than 8150 sq. ft which has upgraded laboratory facilities to facilitate investigation and reporting through advanced techniques. Department has continually expanded its infrastructure, both in physical and digital histopathological databases, in order to provide the best teaching and learning experience. LABORATORY SERVICES
Diagnosis of oral diseases using several histopathology laboratory services is done free of cost, including special stains for identification of oral pathological diseases, oral infections Oral exfoliative cytology, oral biopsy, and fine needle aspiration cytology services are also available. The laboratory has a rich archive of over 25 years and allows performing retrospective studies at ease. The whole slide imaging and digital archiving are in process. A section specially dedicated to digital oral pathology and artificial intelligence was recently inaugurated in the department.
