The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore was established in 1992. The Department focuses on the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of oral and maxillofacial disorders. It combines the fields of oral medicine, which involves the diagnosis and management of oral diseases, and oral radiology, which focuses on the use of imaging techniques to diagnose and evaluate oral conditions. The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology strives for excellence and integrity in teaching, research, and patient care. Our mission includes educating students and professionals in evidence-based patient care principles.

CLINICAL TRAINING AND PATIENT CARE
Undergraduate clinical training includes the diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases The basic concept and techniques of intra-oral and extra-oral radiography.
The postgraduate clinical curriculum Early detection of oral cancer, diagnosis and management of pre-cancerous lesions, TMD and Orofacial pain. Application and acquisition of CBCT scan for investigation and reporting. Postgraduate students are trained in CT, MRI, USG and Radiotherapy planning.
