A good number of postgraduate students and general dentist across the country have a verifiable record of being taught the basic theoretical aspects of implant dentistry but are looking for dedicated hands-on and clinical exposure to intermediate or advance aspects of Implant dentistry. This certificate course is aimed to help such candidates to bring their existing fundamental experience in implant dentistry to the next level by gaining the skills to perform advanced surgical and prosthetic procedures. They will get an opportunity to learn how to treat challenging situations with advanced treatment planning and advance surgical and prosthetic procedures. These courses will usually require significant experience in placing implants.

The Implant training program is designed for General Practitioners and specialists who have already trained themselves in basic skills in implantology and wish to expand their treatment capabilities to include advance surgical and prosthetic treatment planning and placement of dental implants. This comprehensive surgical training program focuses on implant placement into immediate extraction sites and sites with compromised bone volume. Upon completion of this program, the clinician will be able to identify suitable patient cases and would have the advance level skills needed to develop a systematic approach to treatment planning a complex implant case. Participants will gain valuable hands-on experience through clinical cases.

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE

To provide the participants a systematic and logical exposure to advance implant dentistry.
To help the participants to effectively plan full arch restorations for edentulous patients.
To provide a participant with every opportunity to get clinical exposure to varied advance surgical procedure in Implantology.
To Provide a skill oriented interactive session on surgical, laboratory and Prosthetic phases.

A Skill based interdisciplinary certificate course

DURATION OF THE COURSE

3 Modules of 3 days each spread over 6 months - 9 days
27 hours of theory.
6 hours of hands-on training.
30 hours of clinical training.
The course will commence in July and completed by December each year

COURSE CONTENT (SYLLABUS)

Management of extraction Site in Implant Therapy
Guided Bone Regeneration: Principles of Grafting, and Mucogingival & Restorative Considerations
Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in the Fully Edentulous Patient
The surgical and restorative techniques necessary to manage the fully edentulous implant patient.
Understand the Science and Clinical aspects of immediate placement and functional loading

COURSE FEE

Rs. 2,80,000/- Participants will be provided with 6 Nobel Biocare Implants (includes 4implants for ALL ON FOUR) and 6 abutments which includes All on 4 components. The prosthetic components will be lent during the modules on case requirement basis.
