Oral implantology is a rapidly evolving field within dentistry and there is strong demand in the marketplace for prosthetic rehabilitation using oral implants. Implant supported prosthesis is a successful and predictable treatment option and has had a marked influence in expanding the range of treatment options available to the dentist. It is clearly one of the major advances within oral health care sciences in modern time.

The Implant training program is designed for General Practitioners as well as post graduates who wish to expand their treatment capabilities to include treatment planning and placement of dental implants. This comprehensive surgical training program focuses on implant placement into healed sites. Upon completion of this program, the clinician will be able to identify suitable patient cases and would have the basic skills needed to develop a systematic approach to treatment planning an implant case. Participants will gain valuable hands-on experience through practical exercises.

OBJECTIVE OF THE COURSE

To provide the participants a through systematic and logical exposure to implant dentistry.
To help the participants to effectively incorporate implant dentistry into their dental practice.
Rational creation of overall treatment plans in relation to implant dentistry.
To provide a program based on realities of private practice and not just theoretical aspects.
To Provide a skill oriented interactive sessions on laboratory and surgical phases.

A Skill based interdisciplinary certificate course

DURATION OF THE COURSE

3 Modules of 3 days each spread over 6 months - 9 days
27 hours of theory.
6 hours of hands on training.
30 hours of clinical training.
The course will commence in January and end in June each year

Biology, Anatomy and Wound Healing in Implant Therapy
Diagnosis, Treatment Planning and Documentation
General Implant Surgical / Prosthetic Principals & Therapy
Managing Emergencies, Complications & Long-term Maintenance in Implant Therapy

ELIGIBILITY

BDS from an institute recognized by the Dental Council of India

COURSE FEE

Rs. 1,80,000/- Participants will be provided with 4 Nobel Biocare Implants and 4 abutments. The prosthetic components will be lent during the modules on case requirement basis. 1 Year ITI membership and Foundation course curriculum by International teams for Implantology(ITI)
