PERIODONTOLOGY
Periodontology is a specialised branch of dentistry that focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases affecting the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. The department offers various educational programs and resources to help students develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become proficient periodontal practitioners. The department is also committed to providing a wide range of services, offering comprehensive care to patients with periodontal diseases. We strive to train future periodontists who will make a significant impact on oral health care and contribute to advancements in periodontal science.

CLINICAL TRAINING AND PATIENT CARE
Undergraduate clinical training includes diagnosing and treating periodontal diseases. Oral prophylaxis procedures using hand instruments and ultrasonic scalers. An in-depth understanding of periodontal instruments and their use. Patient education and counselling on better oral hygiene habits.
The postgraduate clinical curriculum in addition, also includes exceptional proficiency across a broad spectrum of periodontal surgical procedures, including Guided bone regeneration, guided tissue regeneration and placement and restoration of oral implants.
