OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE

  • To provide the participants a systematic and logical exposure to dental Laboratory technology.
  • To help the participants to effectively plan restorations for dentulous and edentulous patients.
  • To provide a skill oriented interactive sessions on laboratory and Prosthetic techniques.

  • CO 1: Applied Physics and Chemistry
  • CO2: Applied Oral Anatomy
  • CO3: Dental Materials & Metallurgy
  • CO4: Dental Mechanics (Primary)
  • CO5: Dental Mechanics (Secondary)
  • CO6: Basic knowledge of computers and Medical Records Management

CURRICULLUM OF TRANSANCTION

Didactic Lecture, Hands on exercise on preclinical and patient models.

ELIGIBILITY

  • A candidate should be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission or within 3 months of it and should be medically fit to pursue the course.
  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 or two years intermediate or equivalent course there of with Science subjects (i.e.) Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized Indian University or Pre-University/Intermediate Board.

  • Medical Fitness Certificate (from a Reg. Med. Practitioner)
  • Caste and income certificate
  • Copy of the Aadhar Card
  • Recent Color Photos - 8 Nos. (4 Passport size+4 stamp size)

EVALUATION METHOD

First Year:

  • Theory examination:75 marks
  • Practical Examination: 100 marks
  • Viva Voce: 25 marks

Second Year:

  • Theory examination:75 marks
  • Practical Examination: 100 marks
  • Viva Voce: 25 marks

ATTENDANCE

Minimun 75% attendance is required for attending the examination.

PASS CRITERIA

The minimum number of marks required to pass the examination shall be fifty percent in each paper both in the

  • written with oral.
  • practical parts of the examination.
