Training program on 3-Shape Dental Studio and 3-Shape Implant Studio

The training program on 3-Shape Dental Studio and 3-Shape Implant Studio was held on 25 th June 2025 from 9:30 am-5:00 pm in the 4 th floor digital dental laboratory, Yenepoya Dental College (YDC). The program began with the opening remarks and welcome address by the Principal of Yenepoya Dental College (YDC), Dr Laxmikanth Chathra followed by the introduction of the speaker by Dr Ektha Pai. The training session was conducted by Dr Ankur Gupta, Prosthodontis, CEO of Smile Works Dental Lab and the Key Opinion Leader 3-Shape. The session was conducted with the objective of enhancing the understanding of digital workflows in implant planning, surgical guide designing and prosthesis fabrication. The demonstration on full mouth implant planning and designing, surgical guide designing, implant prosthesis fabrication (single unit, multiple units) was attended by 20 faculty members of various departments of YDC who registered for this program to enhance their knowledge on digital designing. Additionally, training on implant prosthesis fabrication including bar design,CPD designing and the hands- on session on surgical guide designing was conducted. The feedback was collected from the participants and they found the training beneficial.

Overall, it was an enriching learning experience and helped the participants to enhance their digital knowledge on designing and fabrication of prosthesis and surgical guide.
