CDE Program Oral Pathology

The Department of Oral Pathology & Microbiology,Yenepoya Dental College, organized a CDE Programme on 30thApril 2025 on the topic "Next-Gen Dentistry: Harnessing Stem Cells and Cell culture". Dr Riaz Abdulla, Professor & HOD, Dept. Of Oral Pathology & Microbiology welcomed the gathering. The program was inaugurated on 30thApril 2025. Dr Rekha P.D, Director, Research & Development Cell, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University was chief guest for the Programme. Dr Malati M, HOD, Oncology, Yenepoya Medical College, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University,was guest of honor for the Programme. Dr. Laxmikanth Chatra, Principal, YDC, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, presided over the inauguration of the CDE. Dr Sham S Bhat, Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, spoke few words about the programme. Dr M Hassan Sarfaraz, Vice Principal, YDC, Dr. Maji Jose, Dean Student affairs, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, were present in the programme. Teaching faculty of YDC, Post graduate students of YDC, other teaching faculties of other institutions were present and attended the Programme.

Dr Pallavi S, Reader, Dept. of Oral Pathology & Microbiology, YDC, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University delivered the vote of thanks. Resource persons Dr Sudheer Shenoy, Professor, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, enlightened us on the topic "Stem cells and organoids in dentistry" and Dr Ashwini Prabhu, Associate Professor, Yenepoya Research Centre, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University, Briefed on the topic "Biomedical applications of cell culture". The hands-on workshop was conducted in Yenepoya Research Center by resource persons. Total numbers of participants for the CDE Programme were 51 in numbers out of them 12 attended the hands-on workshop in YRC.
