The
CDE programme on the topic "REVISITING BIOPSY: A ClinicoPathological
perspective" was
conducted by the Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Yenepoya Dental
College. Dr. Riaz Abdulla Professor & Head, Department of Oral Pathology
and Microbiology welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.S.Moosabba, Principal, Yenepoya
medical college was the Chief guest. Dr.Moosabba highlighted the importance of
biopsy and its relevance in surgical practice. Dr.Junaid Ahmed, Associate Dean,
MCODS, Mangalore congratulated the college for conducting such an event with
panel discussion and opined that these panel discussion platforms will
ultimately benefit the patients.
Dr.Laxmikanth Chatra, Principal, Yenepoya Dental College, presided over
the inauguration of the CDE and highlighted that the Yenepoya Dental College
has been conducting such events for the benefit of practitioners, students,
teachers and ultimately benefit the society. The event was attended by Dr.Sham
S Bhat, Dean, Faculty of Dentistry, Yenepoya Dental College, Dr. Hasan Sarfaraz
Vice Principal, Yenepoya Dental College, other
teaching faculty from Yenepoya ( Deemed to be University) and colleges
in and around Mangalore. Dr.Vishnudas Prabhu delivered the vote of thanks.
Dr.Radhika Manoj Bavle, Resource person spoke on the topic "REVISITING BIOPSY: A ClinicoPathological perspective" and was attended by delegates. A panel discussion on the topic " Triple "O" perspective on Biopsies" was Moderated by Dr.Laxmikanth Chatra, Principal Yenepoya Dental College & Dr.Radhika M Bavle, Prof & Head, Department of Oral Pathology, Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences.
The panelists were Dr.Manjunath Rai, Dr.Joyce Sequeira, ,( Oral
Maxillofacial Surgery) Dr.Maji Jose,Dr.Pushparaja Shetty, ( Oral and
Maxilofacial Pathology), Dr. Junaid Ahmed, & Dr.Prashanth Shenoy.( Oral
