World Cancer Day-2024

The Department of Public Health Dentistry & NSS Unit-1, Yenepoya Dental College observes World Cancer Day from 1st February to 6th February 2024 with a theme of Close the Care Gap. Intercollegiate Painting Competition was held on 1/2/2024 at Yenviron. Welcome address for the event was given by Dr.RekhaShenoy. Dr.Boney Paul, Assistant Medical Superintendent and operations officer at ZulekhaYenepoya Institute of Oncology was the chief guest, he stressed the importance of 'World Cancer Day' awareness program,understanding the inequities in cancer care andthe importance of providing knowledge and equal health facilitiesto reduce the care gap. Vice Principal Dr.M Hasan Sarfaraz, recognized how we can make real progress in reducing the global impact of cancer by working together. The Vote of thanks was given by Dr.Supriya. Dr.Imran Pasha M NSS Program Officer was also present in the event. The Participants from various Constituent Colleges had participated and the event was done with Faculty, Student and Postgraduate categories.
